In our everyday lives, we may be subjecting ourselves to harmful, sometimes deadly bacteria and not even be aware that we are risking our lives. Every time we eat, we may be heading straight for some serious pain and agony. LEAD POISONING There was a time when the paint used to paint our houses contained lead. It has been determined to be the number one cause of lead exposure in America, most frequently affecting children. Lead paint used in older housing deteriorates and finds its way into the system of young children, from chronic ingestion of lead paint chips, to house dust to the soil having laced with remnants of leaded gasoline used in the past. High levels of lead have been discovered at worksites, in ceramic ware and even the water we drink, along with a number of other products used in daily life. It has been determined that nearly one million children under the age of six have a high enough level of lead in their blood that may be detrimental to their health. MERCURY POISONING It is suspected that thousands of children suffering from autism and other neurological disorders do so because of an addition of Thimerosal to vaccines received as a child. Thimerosal is 50% by weight ethyl mercury, is a biocide and a fungicide, being added to the vaccines for no other purpose than profit. By adding Thimerosal to the vials of vaccine, they were able to obtain multiple uses from one vile. Children on the standard immunization schedule received a dose of mercury 50 to 100 times higher than the EPA's recommended guidelines. Research shows that nearly 50,000 children born in the year 2000 were at high risk of mercury exposure from the elements of the environment. These children are at the highest risk of additional injury and trauma from the mercury contained in their vaccines. Numerous class action suits continue to be filed on behalf of the children who have been exposed to extremely high levels of mercury but do not yet show the obvious symptoms.
