Science, something which explains our existence in the form that we are right now. One cannot think of a greater deed than this, where day in and day out one tries to make life better for the others around them, proving to them that they can make all the difference. Assuming that people getting themselves a degree in medicine would also shoulder the responsibility of others lives, it is a hand in glove combination that if you have a fascination for the physiological part of a man, then you also share a compassion for them which is a more heightened sense than it is in the others. A person in the medical profession is responsible for a lot of lives and it is obligatory for him/her to give equal amount of attention and care to each one of his/her patients. It would be the morally & ethically correct thing to do. But things are not always that simple.There are times even in this field when people show a lot of irresponsibility & recklessness in their attitudes towards the patients with no real compassion for them but only a drive to achieve the more materialistic things in their life.These would be the kind of people who do not understand the basic aesthetics of this profession and are in it to dole out money for themselves.There are some shocking incidents where you find doctors indulging in malpractices like accepting commissions from pathological laboratories in order to send patients for tests.How can the human mind be so petty as to place money before things of more importance like concern for one another as fellow beings and basic sense of ethics and values which should hold far more value than any of these issues like attaining wealth and getting a high status in the society at other innocent people's expense. Now thankfully there are measures to bring these malpractices down to a reasonable amount, if not completely stop them. There are NGO's that have been organized especially for this task. These organizations see to it that innocent patients don't become victims to these malpractices carried out by nursing homes, hospitals and even individual practitioners. These centers also aim at breaking the barriers against medical court cases which have not been able to continue because of the corruption of the entire system where the wealthier one has mortel power to turn the case in his/her favour.These organizations have a well set up communication network which is easily available at your disposal and it is upto you to decide to take a step if you have been a victim of any sort of malpractices in the past. These organizations can take the offenders to task by filing a lawsuit against them and get you the justice you rightly deserve. The malpractices are legally judged and a jury fit to make decisions on the given topic decides upon the verdict. The term malpractice as we know refers to an incident where in the health provider has not been able to fulfill his/her duty to his best ability. We can save ourselves from these malpractice hazards happening with us if we are alert and refuse to take it lying low even if we have been victimized by the people who have not kept upto the standards of humanity and who have not conducted as per prescribed behaviour to look out for their personal interests rather than the interest of the society as a whole.
