Drugs are used as effective medicines for most of the diseases and disorders. One can't say the drugs will not give any side effect; they do produce some undesired effects. To make sure drugs are not causing any serious side effects, the Federal Food and Drug Administration must approve a drug before it is sold to the public. Nevertheless, an approved drug might cause harmful side effects not yet recognized or linked to its use, and therefore not known to the general public or the physicians who prescribe such medications. The users of some drugs could experience serious side effects such as allergic reactions, damage to unborn fetuses, amputation, loss of sight, brain damage, and even death. If a drug company markets a medication that is unreasonably dangerous for its users, it may be liable for injuries and damages caused by the use of that product.

It is estimated that every year approximately 200,000 Americans die from prescription drug adverse reactions and side effects. In fact, it is widely believed that more Americans die as a result of prescription drug interactions or side effects that form using illegal drugs. Furthermore, thousands of Americans are seriously injured and sometimes die from adverse reactions and side effects associated with common over-the-counter medications.

The FDA has recalled a number of drugs recently that have caused death or serious injuries to innocent victims of the pharmaceutical industry. Many people are nothing more than guinea pigs for the pharmaceutical companies who foist untested drugs upon the public. Many of these drugs have no data regarding their long-term effects.

More and more drugs and devices are being sold to the public by television and newspaper ads. Manufacturers pay millions of dollars to public relations firms to plant complimentary stories and "infomercials." Through emotional advertising, a distorted view of the risks and benefits is often portrayed to increase sales for a drug or device, which does very little good and carries great risk. In the last century, quacks touted the virtues of snake oil, but despite the great medical discoveries of the past hundred years, the days of nostrums and quackery are not over.

When it comes to drugs, warnings of side effects, adverse reactions, and indications are transmitted from the manufacturer to the doctor by way of container labeling, Physician's Desk Reference manuals, brochures, and salesmen who visit the doctors. Since the patient is not likely to understand these matters, the doctor serves as the necessary intermediary for the patient's need for information. Therefore, the manufacturer does not have to warn the consumer. However, the growing trend to advertise and promote drugs and devices directly to consumers is eroding this protection. In the area of birth control pills, for example, the patient is entitled by law to the manufacturer's information.

The Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is under constant pressure from drug manufacturers to approve drugs quickly, which in many cases proves to be premature. Many prescription drugs that undergo FDA review, are given "fast track" status which greatly reduces the time it usually takes to get drugs approved. Often, the end result is drugs are approved before all the side effects are noticed and can ultimately do much greater harm than good.

We have been in forefront for those who are innocent and got effected by these type of drugs. We also focus in negligence. Focuses on the defendant's conduct, i.e. the product's hazard is a condition created by the defendant's lack of due care. When we represent the catastrophically injured who have suffered at the hands of a defectively designed product, they represent a recourse in our civil justice system. A recourse not only for that family to seek justice, but also for future generations who will benefit from the safer designs and better warnings that will follow. In addition we represent catastrophically injured to seek compensation for injuries.

It is critical to the success of your case that you consult with us, who specializes in product liability immediately if you have been injured by a defective product. The laws are complex and filings have a specific time limit. Don't delay in protecting your rights.

Qur firm has been fighting for long against unsafe drugs and unethical medical practices in the country. Our job as consumer safety advocates has become more challenging than ever in light of the rapid expansion of many major industries in recent years, such as pharmaceuticals and other mass-produced items. Significantly, such growth often results in the government's failure to adequately police the safety of products on the market. This is where consumer protection attorneys can make a difference.
